Contract award: UHL awards AES Medical contract for HaemoSys®
The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) has awarded AES Medical a contract for the provision of a Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Links (HMDL) Service Reporting and Tracking System. This system (to be known as HaemoSys®) will be developed together with UHL and will assist in managing Haematology Reporting across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland.
AES welcomes RAO Delegation
Staff welcomed a delegation from the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) to the AES Twyford office as part of a week long UK visit programme. AES have built a strong relationship with the RAO, supporting them via the Machine Care Plus® service since 2007. This now covers their Challenger and M60 main battle tanks, G6 (155mm Self Propelled Howitzer) and Piranha (Armoured Fighting Vehicle) fleets.
The RAO personnel, led by the Head of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (HEME) enjoyed a tour of the Early Failure Detection Centre and were given a detailed explanation of the varying functions that are conducted by AES Technical Service Engineers. The process of interpreting fluid (oil) and usage data to provide early warning of equipment and servicing issues was described, along with examples of how the system has prevented costly repairs and improved equipment availability.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust chooses PathoSys®
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has become the seventh iSoft Apex Trust to choose PathoSys® to provide structured histopathology reporting. PathoSys® will now cover all of both the North of England Cancer Network and NEPath (North East pathology) network.

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust has become the third live PathoSys® system that is linked to the CliniSys Winpath LIMS and the fourth live NEPath (North East Wide Pathology) network site. The Trust provides a full range of local acute services for elective (planned) and emergency care and also sub-regional Breast Screening Services – which covers Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland and parts of Durham. The Trust is the North Eastern hub for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. This covers an area East of the Pennines stretching from the Scottish border to the Humber, a population of around 7 million people.
AES Support Re-Fielding TROJAN and TITAN
AES are contracted by Combat Tracks Group to provide an Engineer to assist RETDU REME personnel with the Quality Assurance Inspections and Re-Fielding of TROJAN and TITAN vehicles that have been upgraded to the latest Build Standard by BAES GCS(V) and the Defence Support Group.
