Machine Care Plus® application made available via the Defence Information Infrastructure (DII) and the Internet.  Following a successful collaborative project between AES, the UK MoD  and others, AES application server hosted in The Land Environment Portal (TLEP).  TLEP is a secure shared-working environment that enables industry and military organisations to share information and work collaboratively on projects.  Hosting of the AES application on TLEP is a significant achievement for the AES early failure detection service as user access to information, such as diagnosis and remedial actions, is much more efficient.

AES awarded a contract by the UK MoD to provide technical support to the Titan and Trojan Engineering Tank System (ETS) Batch Test 5 at Bovington, UK.  AES supplied Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and Trials Support Engineers to work alongside military staff from the Royal Engineers Trials and Development Unit.  AES staff involved in the co-ordination, management and monitoring of all Level 1, 2 and 3 maintenance support tasks.

BAE Systems award AES a 1 year contract extension for the provision of oil sampling and analysis services in support of the TERRIER® Armoured Engineer Vehicle, prototype and demonstrator vehicles.  Terrier® is the replacement for the Combat Engineer Tractor (CET).

Following an extensive competitive tender process, the UK MoD awarded AES a 10 year, Pan IPT contract for the continued provision of their Machine Care Plus® equipment early failure detection service.  The contract, which commenced in Apr 2009, covered oil sampling and analysis of engines and major assemblies fitted to Challenger 2 (CR2) Main Battle Tank (MBT), Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle (CRARRV), Warrior (WR) Infantry Fighting Vehicle, AS90 Self-Propelled Artillery System, Titan and Trojan Engineering Tank Systems (ETS) and Beach Recovery Vehicle (BRV), fielded by UK land forces in the UK, Germany, Canada and on operations world-wide.

AES joins the UK MOD Framework Agreement for Technical Support (FATS), a faster and more efficient contractual route to procure technical support.

The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) awards AES a 3 year extension to their Machine Care Plus® contract for the provision of oil sampling and analysis services.  In addition, the scope of the contract is increased and includes support for Challenger 2 (CR2) Main Battle Tank (MBT), Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle (CRARRV), M60 MBT, G6 Self-Propelled Howitzer and Piranha Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC).

AES are contracted by Combat Tracks Group to provide an Engineer to assist RETDU REME personnel with the Quality Assurance Inspections and Re-Fielding of TROJAN and TITAN vehicles that have been upgraded to the latest Build Standard by BAES GCS(V) and the Defence Support Group.

AES awarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to provide technical support to the Titan and Trojan Engineering Tank System (ETS) Final Acceptable Build Standard (FABS) at Bovington, UK.  AES supplied Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and Trials Support Engineer to work alongside military staff from the Royal Engineers Trials and Development Unit (RETDU).

AES Medical attended the Somerset Cancer Register (SCR) user group meeting and provided a short presentation demonstrating the interfacing of PathoSys® and the SCR system

Rolls-Royce Distributed Generation Systems (DGS) award AES a contract for the provision of fluid sampling and analysis services in support of Field Electrical Power Supplies (FEPS).

Completed the development of the interface between the pathology reporting system, PathoSys® and the CliniSys Winpath system. This will enable AES Medical to provide Winpath users with Cancer Dataset Reporting and Information Management that meets the standards set by the Royal College of Pathologists and NHS Cancer Standards.

The AES Machine Care Plus® fluid sampling and analysis service is supporting Warthog User Trials currently being conducted at the British Army’s Armoured Trials and Development Unit (ATDU) in Dorset.

The British Army’s Panther Command and Liaison Vehicle (CLV) has been added to the AES Machine Care Plus®, oil sampling and analysis service.

The fifth meeting of the PathoSys® user group took place at the Royal Derby Hospital. The meeting included an optional laboratory tour to see the lab and discuss how PathoSys® has been implemented.

The AES involvement in the TROJAN and TITAN Production Reliability Batch Test 5 ends with the successful completion of the trial.  An AES engineer continues to work with the Royal Engineers Trials and Development Unit (RETDU) and Combat Tracks Group (CTG) as the vehicles Final Acceptable Build Standard (FABS) is formalised.

UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) add Fuel and Coolant testing to the Machine Care Plus^® service.

AES awarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) Turret and Weapons Team, Combat Tracks Group (CTG) based at MoD Abbey Wood, UK under the Framework Agreement for Technical Support (FATS) to provide a RARDEN Cannon Examination and Usage Database.  As well as the database design, development and support, AES experienced staff transferred legacy examination and usage information from hand written reports into the new database, ready for use.
