Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has gone live with the Pathology Reporting system, PathoSys® that is linked to the CliniSys Winpath Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The Trust provides healthcare to a population of 330,000 in North Merseyside and surrounding areas.

It is also a teaching hospital for the University of Liverpool and a tertiary centre providing specialist services to a much wider population of around 1.5 million in Merseyside, Cheshire , South Lancashire and North Wales. The PathoSys® system at Aintree is hosted on a virtual server linked to a backend SQL Cluster providing resilience and performance.
